I love Vampire stories. I love Steampunk. Personally, I think that the two combined are better than chocolate and peanut butter. So here’s the first entry into a long and twisted serial that pits a fearless vampire hunter and his Steampunk technology against an ancient and cunning master vampire who wishes to consume Victorian London. I hope you enjoy the genres as much as I do.

Both “The Chimney Bat” and “Leopard St. Phone Booth” have been posted, and more stories are coming soon. During the countdown to Halloween, I’ll post “Puppet”, “Russian Devil Hotel”, “The Dark Monocle”, “Mirror of Jakarta” and maybe a couple of others if they are ready.
Then, on Halloween, I’ll post a children’s tale that I’ve been working on. It’s still a bit scary, so read it before you read it to them…but it’s surreal, and fantastical, and fun, so you know it’s not one of my regular stories. heh

The first is Blanket of Darkness. This is a story that might have been titled What If the Good Guys Suddenly Lost?, but that seemed a bit long for a flash story. It’s a little glimpse of the end through the eyes of the loser of the ulimate battle, and those of a small town.
Vicious Circle takes a different turn. Written in a fit of frustration, this one is about embracing the freedom to go after exactly what you want, when you want it. Just be careful of who you bump into along the way, and look out for what’s waiting in the deep end. heh
Rio Tiburon is a monster story, plain and simple. Set in the Amazon jungle, this story brings ocean cryptids to life and turns a bloodthirsty horde loose on your imagination. You may want to take your bath before you read this one…

The Fallow Soul, posted on the Miles Boothe Theatre page, is one story in a series named “Borderlanders”.
The Borderlander stories are tied to Black Horse and The Searcy Incident, and each reveal a facet of our connection to the other side – a side where our nightmares come from. Each character caught up in this world sees a tiny piece of the place where our fear were born, and why they are such an intrinsic part of our instinctual reaction to unexplained events in our lives.
